If you are an individual, whether you have a special or general skill… if you have some free time; an hour here, a half day there… we’ll match you up, and voila! Your potential to earn just grew! AND, more important, you now have extra cash in your pocket!
If you are an SME or a big corporation, MAKETIMEPAY can reduce full-time staffing challenges by finding the people you need, for a particular task in mind, and only when you need them. You reduce your business costs, and profitability increases!
MAKETIMEPAY is the first marketplace to enable work opportunities of every kind as on-demand tasks…so anyone can monetise their free time and enhance their financial security, or any company can better manage their staffing costs to improve profitability.
You are an Income Seeker. You have been looking for a full time job but but cannot find one. Maybe you have a job but you are looking for some side income.
MakeTimePay has the largest single listing of Malaysian income opportunities. This means you don’t need to go to many jobs portals to see what is available to you. You just need MakeTimePay.
MakeTimePay focuses on On Demand Tasks so we list those tasks. Some people call that gig work but absolutely anything can be gig work, not just food delivery or driving. Any job can be broken into tasks: it could be finance, marketing, law, office admin, engineering or HR. Or whatever you are skilled at.
MakeTimePay’s own listings come with a payment guarantee for everyone’s protection. If Income Seekers complete a task properly, they will be paid because no task posting can be assigned if the Poster does not make a full prepayment first.
You want something done and you are prepared to pay for it to be done. We call you a Poster. You could be a company, or an individual but you just want one thing done once. Maybe you want a press release written. Perhaps you want some financial analysis completed. How about a music lesson? Or something fragile delivered in another part of town? You post your task on MakeTimePay together with what you are willing to pay for that work, and we send you matched candidates. You’re not looking to hire someone full-time. You just want one thing done. You want MakeTimePay.
You are an Income Seeker but your available time is limited to just a few hours each day, or even one specific day of the week. You cannot take on a full-time job that needs you to be present the whole day, every working day. You have excellent professional skills which companies need.
The solution is MakeTimePay because we focus on promoting the fractionalization of jobs. That means that you just do a part of the whole, full time job that a company usually hires someone for.
Of course the pay is less but the work is less as well.
For example, the company wants a finance executive just to keep its cashbook updated. That is all they want. They don’t want another full time person in Finance, and you don’t want that full time job anyway. Updating the cashbook is an important, single task. It does not take that long but it will be a load to put on the current Finance staff.
The company posts the task on MakeTimePay, chooses the suitable person and the job is done for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.
The same idea works for absolutely any job. You just need to find the people willing - and able – to do the task.
The company pays less but gets the important task done. The Income Seeker gets paid to do the task they are good at, and are happy to do. Everyone wins.
MakeTimePay is proud of four critical differences for Seekers:
- we are about growing people’s income not about helping companies fill their job vacancies. We want people to constantly discover more income-earning opportunities than they have ever had before.
- we have income-earning opportunities for everyone, whatever their qualification, their interest or their availability. We are not just for tech workers or errands specialists, or young people. We are for everyone.
- we focus on the fractionalization of jobs so that a finance specialist for instance, can get income accepting a task for a finance department even if a full time job as a finance staff person is not available.
- we match people to income opportunities using their qualifications, their skills, their talents and their interests altogether, because all Income Seekers are capable of doing much more than what their formal education shows.
MakeTimePay wants primarily, to help Income Seekers.
Most are finding it difficult to get by on their current income, some may have lost their jobs because of Covid19, the economy, automation or some other reason.
Looking to get re-employed is a full-time job in itself. There are so many, different job portals to check, listings, advertisements to review and all that takes time.
MakeTimePay pulls vacancies and listings from everywhere so that Income Seekers need to check only one site, not many. It’s much more efficient because Income Seekers should be spending their time making money not looking for chances to earn money.
Just think of the time and effort you save because you are just checking one site.
As an Income Seeker, you don’t know if the company or individual posting the task will actually pay you when the task is completed.
As the company or individual posting the task, you don’t know if the person awarded the task will actually do the work well. You don’t want to pay any sort of downpayment or advance, so what do you do?
This is why MakeTimePay has its escrow system.
The Job Poster, whether it is a company or individual, will pay for the task in full before the Income Seeker starts work. This assures the person doing the work that the payment money exists. That money is held in escrow, until the task is completed to the Job Poster’s satisfaction.
When the Job Poster confirms the task is complete, MakeTimePay is informed. We then release the task payment to the Income Seeker who did the job.
Both sides are protected. The system is transparent and is in everyone’s interest.
Some tasks are easy. Some tasks are complicated and take more time.
Job Posters therefore, are asked to indicate what percentage of their total fee will function as the (XXXXX) payment in the event of a task-related dispute that cannot be resolved.
The reality is that out of the thousands of tasks that are assigned and completed, in one or two cases there might be disagreement about the way the work was done, or maybe there was some problem with its timing. Whatever the case, for some reason the Job Poster isn’t satisfied.
When this happens, the Job Poster and the Income Seeker who did the work should communicate and discuss what adjustments might result in the task being completed more satisfactorily.
If that does not work well for the parties involved, the opportunity is marked ‘Closed’ and MakeTimePay will pay the Income Seeker the (XXXXX) payment previously indicated.
The incident and commercial transaction ends there but the MakeTimePay process does not.
As is the case with all task completions, both the Job Poster company and the Income Seeker who did the work will be asked to rate the other party, with additional comments if they want. These ratings and comments are usually read by Seekers when they consider future task opportunities put up by that company, and when other Posters look at Seekers applying to do their task, they look at that Seeker’s ratings also, and what other Poster companies have said.
It is the most fair way of keeping everyone on the level.
Income Seekers need to plan their available time so that they can complete tasks when they are free to do them.
Organizations that have people coming in to perform tasks need a way to monitor who is doing what task, for what department. And when that is being done.
MakeTimePay provides everyone with a simple view of their commitments and the many professional opportunities ahead. You tell us when you can do the work, or you tell us when the work has to be done and we schedule it in for you. It’s so easy.
MakeTimePay’s matching system works well if it has more information not less. This is information from both the Income Seekers and the Job Posters too.
Resumes are effective only at the most superficial level of matching.
People are so much more than a few lines about what they used to do and what they studied. Companies rarely take people on that bases also.
That’s why everyone should take a moment longer and complete the profiling questions. A better task match means the system can identify more appropriate things for an Income Seeker to do, and a Job Poster company can locate the better person to do the task they have need for.
Though this is very rare, it is unfortunately, a realistic possibility. A medical emergency or some other personal event may cause the selected Seeker to fail to complete their task, for instance, and the Seeker may have been prevented from informing the Job Poster company or individual.
If the Seeker has not commenced the work at all, MakeTimePay will work with the Job Poster company or individual to replace the selected Seeker with another person suited to do the task.
This is also the reason why we encourage Job Posters to identify not just their Primary Choice of Seeker but also a Secondary Choice. This is not just to help the Job Poster if the first choice of Seeker indicates they are unavailable after originally applying.
Circumstances change. It does happen. And very often, when they change, it happens suddenly and involves a lot of inconvenience for everyone. This is reality.
Eventhough it is likely to be a rare occurrence, we need to be ready for those occasions.
If no work has been done by the Income Seeker, if they have not spent any money coming to the Job Poster company’s office for instance, then the cancellation is just a straightforward cancellation. The money paid by the Job Poster to MakeTimePay will be refunded from escrow, less a small administrative charge.
As is the case with all task completions, both the Job Poster company and the Income Seeker who did the work will be asked to rate the other party, with additional comments if they want.
These ratings and comments are usually read by Seekers when they consider future task opportunities put up by that particular Poster company.
When other Poster companies look at Seekers applying to do their task, they also look at Seekers ratings also, and they read what other Poster companies have said about that person.
It is the most fair way of keeping everyone on the level. The more information Posters and Seekers have about each other, the better chance they have of making the right choice when deciding on who is involved with their next On Demand task.
Communication is the key to all.
Our suggestion is to discuss it with the Job Poster. In most cases, the Job Poster just needs the work done. How it gets done is less important as long as it is done on time, and on budget. The fact that you need help means you will have to split the task fee with your selected co-worker/partner. Taking on a partner is not a cost that should be passed to the Job Poster unless they agree that the task is too big for one person to do.
Communication is the key to all.
Our suggestion is to discuss it with the Job Poster.
Task timings may have very strong reasons for being set that way, so that means they cannot change.
If the Job Poster is open to a timing adjustment, that’s great. But if the Job Poster insists on the timing, Seekers who cannot accept the timing are encouraged to look for alternative task opportunities.
There are many opportunities available on MakeTimePay for income generation. At the same time, many are not suitable.
They could require a physical presence very far from your home base, they could clash with work you already have, or it’s possible that you think that the task fee is just too low.
In all these cases, what it means is that the task you are looking at is just not the right one for you. You are the best judge of what you are prepared to do, and for how much.
For the Job Poster, if you set a low fee for a specific task, it is likely you will get very few quality applicants. If you change the task specifications in some way, perhaps keeping the fee the same but changing the timing, you might get more quality applicants.
Some tasks are easy. Some tasks are very complicated and in those situations, the possibility of error increases.
While it is rare, the reality is that sometimes mistakes do happen and for some reason then, the Job Poster isn’t satisfied.
When this happens, the Job Poster and the Income Seeker who did the work should communicate and discuss what adjustments might result in the task being completed more satisfactorily.
If that does not work well for the parties involved, the opportunity is marked ‘Closed’ and MakeTimePay will pay the Income Seeker the (XXXXX) payment previously indicated when the task was initially commissioned.
MakeTimePay wants both Income Seekers and Job Posters to be satisfied with their interaction. If a first task is completed well and both parties want to re-engage for a follow-up task, that would be great.
However, we encourage all interactions to be via the MakeTimePay portal.
There are protections built in to any commercial arrangement set up via the portal. Pre-payment held in escrow, terms and conditions in contracting, ratings systems. These are not available if Seekers and Posters take their arrangements off-line and off-site.
Anyone can sign up to be an Income Seeker or a Job Poster with MakeTimePay. The basic membership package is free for the time being.
Premium memberships however, come with a range of additional benefits, all of which bring Seekers greater convenience and access.
We recommend that you try MakeTimePay as an ordinary Seeker first, and if you find you absolutely must be part of the special community within the universe of MakeTimeSeekers, then take things up one more level and sign up to be a Premium member.
